The budget surplus that had been growing over the years was all used up with the Almanac project and part of this year’s budget went into this project too. What this now means is that the days of handing out money to whoever asks for it are over. Those groups who, in the past, relied heavily on funding from the Student Society should take note and seriously begin looking for other means of raising funds.
