Emily Carr Film Society Movie Nights ever Wednesday 730) pm Room 260 Dec. 11 Zero de Conduite (preceded by Un Chien Andalou) (France, 1933, Jean Vigo) Jean Vigo’s first fiction film was shot in just eight days, on an extremely limited budget, with a very young crew and few professional actors. It is one of the rare French films to win the favour of those who were to become the New Wave directors of the 50s and 60s. Zero for Conduct is, in part, an autobiographical account of the director’s boyhood days in boarding school and, in part, a rendering of childhood fan- tasy. Un Chien Andalou is a beau- tiful dream film by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali. * Planet of the Arts Volume 7 Issue 3 ARTEST Magazine is inviting submissions of artwork for a large format poster series dealing with : Human Rights, Ecology, Militarism, Globalism vs. Nationalism Photography, Painting, Mixed Media, Prints, Poetry, Film/Video-stills, Written Artic Artwork will be published in a 24 page _ broadsheet newspaper format (advertising-free) and will be distributed in January 1992.
