B. is for Brenda and Boultbee and me— One is quite bright, (the first one not B.), And Betty, of course, who’s acquired a Permanent — She’s one of these nuts who disgraces our Firmament. C’s for Cianci, it sounds like red wine, And the worst of it is, that he’s drunk all the time. D. stands for Drawing, and that means a lot, We all want eventually to fill the old pot. E. is quite easy, it’s Ellen, that’s all — She’s a genius at everything, and dumb NOT AT ALL. F. is for Fowler, who wears unique stockings With hecticly vivid and various clockings. And Fred, whose tone values are quite without doubt The snappiest round here, with ours or without. G. stands for Gow. Dot’s been absent some time, But at last she’s returned to our warm sunny clime. H. is for Herchmer — Lawrencia dear — And a girl who’s called Jean, Whom I know not mon chere. I. is for Indian, it stands for the Ink That we spill periodically over the brink. J. is for Jensen, she’s sweet and demure; If she were a Kitty, I’m sure she would purr. K. stands for Katherine, whose youth and temerity (?) Makes us all gape with utmost sincerity. L. is for Lyne, who is charming and sweet; She has but one fault, namely, drawing her sheik. M. stands for Margaret — she’s a blinking young genious Who does everything well without trying— its heinous! N. is a nuisance, but don’t let it worry — I'll get a rhyme, if you’re not in a hurry. O. is an Omen of Awe for us all, I can’t make it round, it’s just made to sprawl. P. is for Phillis, her sins are forgiven, And directly she dies, she’ll go straight up to Heaven. Q. is for Quinn who is a genii proper ; He’s left us now for a fat job, drawing copper. R. is for Robertson — innocent child, has the face of an angel, But don’t get her wild.
