If we are to adopt the role of the artist in society, be it male or female, it is our duty to ask questions about Life, and , by asking them, perhaps provide the answers. We must strive for a unified body of people who are not afraid to ask questions and who. are not afraid of the answers. Yay, another year at this fine Art “institu- tion” has begun. A mere month has passed, it can be observed that functions, roles, placement and a general sense of content- ment has been established within and be- tween the student and faculty bodies. Sometimes i feel invisible when i am modeling up re eg me iam there as you are there as we are there. Sometimes i just wanna split the incommunicable seams of silence. Go crazy do an op/posing wild dance just to contrast the stillness. Haw haw ! of course i-wouldn’t. i guess i just wanted to somehow bridge the gaps between model and student. BPS Basically I just want to communicate washed hallways and private stall, one would really imagine that this really is an “Institu- tion”. The overall feeling that permeates this school is one of apathy. Yes, you reader, probably contribute to this thick, atmospheric sludge that hovers in the hallways, class- rooms and studios. It would seem that as an art college, the attendees should be of a “different” ilk, kindred in their constant and energetic pursuit of change, growth, under- standing and art. | had expected to find myself in a seething body of excited, flam- boyant and outgoing people. | had also expected an atmosphere receptive to an exchange of energy. Instead, | find that the vast majority here are only vaguely cor- cerned with real issues and grotesquely concerned with keeping as motionless as possible, so as not to ripple the calm surface of this lake that we all seem to be shivering in. The departments are extremely segre- gated ( I’m speaking spiritually, not physically ) and within each department there seem to be great walls of unspoken division. | can’t seem to fathom that | am the only one con- cerned...
