SECURITY DISTANCE. -Students and teachers concerns for safety and peace of mind along with general worries would be alleviated by the pressure close by of the child, allowing students and teachers to bring more concentration to their work. -Students unable to attend E.C.C.A.D. presently due to the lack of daycare spaces for small children and babies would be in a position to do so. -Students and teachers could come directly to Granville Island, and instead of making additional journeys be able to drop their children at the daycare and go straight to classes, studios, etc. -Mothers breast feeding would be able to continue, to do so without interruption and in a location they are comfortable in. -The immediate proximity to E.C.C.A.D. would greatly benefit those people without cars. -The daycare could be arranged to allow for students and teachers varying timetables. Not requiring as is presently the need to interrupt class and studio time to pick up children. EMERGENCIES-Students and teachers would be able to leave a detailed itinerary with the daycare and immediate contact would be far more likely.
