Balancii The time has come to promote the idea of honesty in criticism. By the very nature of being here, we all have a degree of sensi- tivity. This can be carried to an extreme, where there is a fear of "hurting someone's feelings''. Back-patting may be good for the ego, but learning is assisted by constructive criticism. This is a subjective way of criticising work in which a rationale is giv- en for one's point of view. At the same time, mention should also be made on how the work could be improved in the eyes of the critic. | agree that it is difficult to tread that edge between criticising the person and their work, especially when the two are products of each other. Only one like myself who has opened his mouth and spoken, only one who has said Yes, Yes, Yes and again Yes: can open wide his arms to death and know no fear. Death as a reward, yes: Death as a result of ful- fillment, yes! Death as a crown and shield, yes!
