All the people that believe that the fight against AIDS will be won are invited to come to the site of the mound and to fill the slope of the mount with signs, each one of them resem- bling the outline of a human body. Those signs, painted or written upon, will stand as symbols of everyone’s individual concern with the AIDS issue. Five of these were retumed, with signs of cruel torture, the rest are still missing Anonymous notes and telephone threats to student leaders are constant. Direct intimidation of students has caused many to seek asylum in other countries. Studio Space -Downtown -Run by ECCAD students -Kilns, tools, 120 + 240V -1 “basic” live-in space -Spaces from $100 and up (includes hydro and phone) -Shared lounge area Available now- Call 687-2529 Display Case Three wooden display cases have been installed on the second floor of the main building, just outside of the facilities office, adjacent to the smokers’ balcony, above the Charles H. Scott gallery. This is a student-made, student-owned, student-controlled, uncensored display space, available to anyone who has some small work to show and would like to fill one or more of the display cases. My idea is to establish a space that facilitates small, casual displays of diverse work from any department, especially the communities who have no access lockable display cases (sculpture, foundation, inter- disciplinary, photo, ceramics, animation, etc.), and for those students whose work is small and tempting to steal... Displays are rotating roughly once a week , although this is flexible. Anyone at all interested in displaying anything, why not just do it, it doesn’t take much to fill small case... You display it, you lock it, and you keep the key... all you have to do is ask; leave a note in my box. The cases are here on a trial basis and may have to come down if they are not in regular use... or they can remain a semi-permanent fixture if they are well used and kept alive with Art.
