One thousand dollars ($1000.00) will be awarded to the
successful applicant in a design competition. HOMEXPO CANADA
'NTERNATIONAL is looking for a wall design to run from the
north-west end of the College to the northern extremity of the
cement plant. It will enclose a plaza, bounded on the other
three sides by Pier 32, Emily Carr College, and the water.

A further $250.00 will be available to the winner for
ongoing assistance in refining and completing the design. See

The Case of the Missing SCISSORS

On the evening of Jan. 27, a pair of scissors was stolen
in the Graphic Design Department. This might seem trivial ex-
cept that this pair of scissors belonged to a visiting graphic
designer, Bill Thompson from UCLA. 8i11 has a handicap and
these scissors are specially designed for him to dohis work.
No one wants to punish whoever took them. Bi11 just wants them
back. He's gone back to UCLA now without his scissors. It takes
about three months to get a new pair made. Bill won't be able

to do his work as well now. Please, whoever took them, return them.
