So, with apathy running rampant in our institution and our soci- ety, this endeavor was enlightening for me, to see the number of people who took the time to express their creativity, without the fear of reprisal from Big Brother..... and all for 40¢ per student. NO-NUKES FILM: Don't forget, the NFB film on the subject of nuclear disarmament. "TF YOU LOVE THIS PLANET'' will be showing this Tuesday, the 23rd at 12:00 noon in Room 260 followed by a discussion of those inter- ested in forming a peace group. Plan to be there. NOTICE TO GRADS: Please hand in the forms on Grad Policy to the Student Society office this week. So far, |'ve had five responses. A— TACK 1 01 by Pieter Kos _ The call for action from the Student Society Executive last Wednesday had a minor response from the Student body, and a 'flow with the punches' response from the Administration. Some debris was pinned up, but soon removed with little notice on the following day. Nevertheless this A-TACK does provid lessons for the school community. An unfortunate lesson which the Administration may glean is how unnecessary it is to take us seriously: we're too nice and we don't get extreme (unlike the McGill students of the good old days who smashed their computer complex). On the other hand, A-TACK may encourage the Admin to be likewise nice, respect- ing us for our good hearted conservatism. A lesson for the general student body is that apathy doesn't pay, tack or no tack. Formal channels are available for those who want to participate in decision making; ‘'participators'' are rare birds indeed. When formal channels leave us stymied, even “mere time and sweat is required to organize alternative action. For the rare politicos the lesson of naive action was demonstrated. Reaction to a percieved inadequate Administrative attitude fails because the bitches haven't been defined. Calls for reform must include cont'd p. 4!
