Having recently escaped from claustrophobic
confines of the Calgary music scene, Big Gulp has
(yes!!) permanently relocated to Vancouver after al-
most two years of sluggingit out with too many Cowtown
wannabes.

Big-name opening slots (Rage Against the
Machine, Tad, Bad Brains, and most recently, the
Galactic Cowboys) as well as a few mini-tour show-
cases south o’ the border have done alot to strengthen
Big Gulp’s stage presence, leading many to speculate
as towhen the big bird will swoop down and carry them
off fo major label land.

Watch out for a possible Hallowe’en gig in
October before they head off to hammer the U.S.
coastline again for six weeks. When they do come
back;

1. Get off your lazy butt.

2. Go out and see them play live already.

3. Buy a demo and take it home.

4. Wear it out and repeat the process.

These guys are worth getting behind- just don’t get too
close to Ben.
