The Greenpeace Show Last April, a group of ECCAD students put together a group show entitled "Artists Against Apartheid”, at the Firehall Theatre. Approximately $600.00 was raised for Winnie Mandela to help black South Africans in their fight for justice.. As artists are "the conscience of society", another group show, this year for Greenpeace, is in its organizational stages. The Firehall Theatre has been tentatively booked for two weeks in April. Opening Night: Monday April 4, 1988. Gallery space will be more limited than last year. We are not renting the dance rehearsal studio as we did last year because it will cost $600.00. So, very large installation works are out of the question. The main focus of the show will be Opening Night, where we hope to have a really strong media show and performance art works. Last year we had to pay for entertainment on opening night, but there is enough talent in the school that this should not be necessary! It is not mandatory for your film/video/painting/print etc. to be on the theme of Greenpeace. (It would be nice, but. . .). Please, nothing racist/sexist etc. . . NO ROCK VIDEOS Any comments/criticisms/questions should be directed to Sandra Lockwood (media/I.D.) or Student
