There is also concern among the students that the criteria for entrance Into the College will also reflect these ideologies and as such result in the admittance of students who are likely to be 'success- full’ in the monetary sense, which effectively negates an entire philosophy of artistic development. Furthermore, we question the priorities of this administration in their role of art education and invite them to set forth their policies to us, in written form. In closing, we, the students of ECCAD oppose any expansion of this institution which will serve to increase our indebtedness to a government which traditionally views art as 'frivolous'. This condition could only result in an appeasement situation on the part of this administration, which will serve to undermine existing programs, in favor of an ideology geared exclusively to the market-place.
