Planet of the Arts vol. 3 no.6 April 1988 GOINGZON > The CAMERA WORKS GALLERY at 2414 Main® St. (873-3646) challenges traditional concepts of photography with Exquisite Corpse, a group show which incorporates actual photographs, Polaroids, and used bandaids. Artists are: Barbara Worth, Tom Chartrand, Jennifer Babcock, Randy Bradley, Tracy Suter, Tim Kramer, Aimee Candelaria, David Li. The show runs to April 22. Meanwhile over at the BAG, the call of the wild is being answered by a travelling exhibition entitled Profiles of a Heritage: Images of Wildlife by B.C. Artists. Spanning wildlife art of the last hundred years the show includes works by native artists, painters, carvers, and ECCAD’s new 3-D studio assistant Camrose Ducote. April 8 - May 8. The CONCOURSE GALLERY is currently exhibiting examples of artwork which might be censored under the ambiguous and Orwellian Bill C- 54. The issue of censorship has the potential to alienate and polarize groups in the women’s move- ment and the arts which share a common desire to see the actualization of sensible and equitable legislation. Heavy. Censorship Awareness Week takes place April 5 - 8, with paintings and performances sharing space in the Concourse to highlight issues affected by Bill C- 54. A round table panel discussion will be held April 6th (Wednesday) from 12:15 - 1:30 in the Concourse. The panel will consist of: Sara Diamond, Svend Robinson, Russell Keziere, Richard Overfield, and Landon MacKenzie. Future shows in the Concourse: April 11-17, works by Ceramics; April 18 -22, Printmaking Show; April 23-May 2, The Foundation Show; May 7-June — 5, The Graduation Show. The CHARLES H. SCOTT GALLERY has, to April 24, Nomi Kaplan: Brooklyn Illuminations. The THE CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY has Sue Schnee exhibiting until April 30. Schnee will speak at ECCAD April 5.
