THE STAR A MIRACLE PLAY

i play to be presented this Christmas season is a nativity per-
formance. While the theme is the old, old story, it has such a

beautiful, richly reverent quality that it is made unique and set apart
from others of its kind.

The curtain rises on a faintly glowing twilight scene, when suddenly, in a
light of glory, Angel Gabriel appears and exhorts the sleeping hillside

shepherds to arise and hasten to the spot where has happened so won-
derful a thing—the birth of Christ!

The wise men, entering separately, consult the strangely glowing star,
and are torn between prosaic doubt and a tremendous faith in the won-
