Navigating the Uncertainty Principle with Ingrid Koenig Mark Douglas, Financial Manager, and his wife Catherine welcomed a beautiful girl – Cambria. During the summer Ingrid Koenig presented her work entitled Navigating the Uncertainty Principle and exhibited a series of drawings at Figurations of Knowledge, the European Conference of the Society for Literature, Science and the Arts, held at the Center for Literary and Cultural Research in Berlin. Her presentation/exhibition was part of the Art as Research stream which was comprised of ten internationally curated artists. Jeremy Hof Named National Winner of the 10th Annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition Congratulations to Jeremy Hof (07) who received the distinguished $25,000 RBC Canadian Painting competition award, Thursday, September 25, 2008, for his piece entitled Layer Painting Red. ECU Barbecue + Fun Day Recap We would like to take the time to thank everyone on the Special Events Committee who helped organize and run this year’s Fun Day and barbeque, the President’s Office for the afternoon off, and all the volunteers who helped. We estimate that approximately 150 employees attended this year’s Fun Day! After lunch about 60 employees participated in outdoor activities – softball, badminton, bocce and croquet. Aryana and Eva serving up fun at the ECU Fun Day ’08! The Special Events Committee is always looking for volunteers! Even if you don’t have time to commit to membership for an entire year, the committee often needs extra hands when putting on events.
