10 self-righteous overtures in the ‘socalled name of democracy' on the subject of censorship. Censorship has always been a delicate issue with creative people; innovative work has always been contraversial in all fields. We need only look at recent history for examples of repression in the arts. As creators we must have 'freedom of expression ' and | stress that it is not the role of the creator to impose selfcensorship. : -+-As an invited speaker, ! was not given any guidance to what the content of my presentation should be,-nor did | ask. Also ! do not recall seeing any instructor(s) present during my lecture/screening. In closing, | would like to add that | did enjoy coming to school and talking to the foundation students and that many of the students did linger after the official presnetation to ask more questions about the work they had seen, and about ‘art' in general... my apologizes to Ms. Dievelt for the physical and mental injuries suffered~ & | have applied for entry in September, 1982 as a full-time artist-trainee student.
