Blackberry's, specifically the Bold series, was often times targeted to business proffesionals, like many executives who have endless decisions to make and emails to respond to. However, the 9700 model was made smaller, lighter, and less clunky so as to begin to appeal to a more varied and younger crowd who might just be entering the corporate workforce. What's interesting about Blackberry's in general is that they knew their audience and stuck with it, trying to create a device around 3 main things: a calendar, email, and a mean of contact.
