The Automatic Slide Projector was the first Braun product to be designed in its entirety by Dieter Rams. One of the design features that make this projector unique was its die-cast textured finish, which combined with the black details and bright red buttons gave it a very industrial aesthetic.
The ET calculator series began when Braun obtained Omron's calculator design, starting off with the ET 11 Control model in 1975. Over the next decade the design would continue to change, showing the interactive nature of design, and how it’s subtle yet thorough changes are what makes it such a strong design. In the ET 55, details such as the rounded bottom corners, the simple color scheme, the buttons polished finish and the covers logo placement are all design decisions done through thorough research and with intentionality. This refinement is likely why the ET 55 remained in production longer than any of the previous models.
Braun develops and manufactures a wide variety of small domestic appliances that marry technical innovation, reliable quality and distinctive design. These range from electric shavers and beauty products to household appliances. Without changing the basic structure and outline since the early 60s, the electric fan/heater of the Braun H series has been made repeatedly with minor changes. Manufactured in the late 1970s, Braun's hot and cold fan heater "H19" inherited the style of predecessors such as Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs, who designed many of the company's products, and a new interpretation of designer Uli Schade. A stylish design that reflects the details, the exterior is made of aluminum-taste powder-coated steel and plastic materials, and the minimal form and simple mechanism are in accordance with braun design standard.
