Called 'Kettle with a Singing Whistle,' its sophisticated brass whistle produces the SI and TI notes that sound similar to the river boat whistles heard on the Rhine. Richard Sapper spent one year developing the device, collaborating with a maker of tuning pipes in the Black Forest since Sapper wanted the kettle to feature a whistle that produced a note or melody.
