In 1997 Photo Film unveiled the Fujifilm ATOMM Zip Disk 100, which features 100MB storage capacity in a 3.7-inch disk format, with a data transfer rate of up to 1.4MB/sec. Ordinary magnetic media consists of a magnetic coating on a basefilm substrate, where ATOMM technology is a dual-coating technique that deposits two layers on the basefilm.
