The piece I am submitting was created in Feb 2021 by my 8 yr old grandson Matthew. He created this ink drawn and coloured still life while adhering to all COVID-19 safety protocols during his first ever Arts Umbrella Program Drawing and Painting. Other than art class in school, he has been in a 5 day art camp at Artists for Kids in North Vancouver during summer of 2019. He loves creating and is happy when drawing, building and using his imagination in creative endeavours. He won a scholarship for an Arts Umbrella program with this work.

I am a proud grandma, who has a design background, and, who is submitting photos of an artwork created during COVID-19 by my grandson, Matthew. The Arts Umbrella Drawing and Painting Class was something for him to look forward to, to be happy creating, and being an only child, to have some social interaction with other people during these times of isolation.
