| Abstract | Abstract Fluidity is explored through the intersections of teaching pedagogy, handbuilding ceramics, and Buddhist spirituality. This paper supports the research and progression to the Immersion installation encompassing witnessing through film and clay. Studio explorations include nurturing queer curiosities in a middle school setting, dialogue with artist Hilma af Klint’s work , and development in an embodied practice with the Pacific Ocean from the Island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, the familial ʻāina and wai (land and water) of the Kānaka Maoli people. |
